All extended learning stakeholders must be aware of implicit bias to counteract the unfair consequences students may experience during the school day. Participants in this session will explore the concept of implicit bias as well as discuss measures they can take in their program to address it.

What do 21st Century Community Learning Centers and the Virginia Recreation and Park Society have in common? How do both organizations aim to improve the community through information, education, and hands-on learning? This session will provide opportunities to brainstorm methods to create a joint partnership and provide a framework for attracting and retaining positive affiliates that will benefit the community.
