Cartooning Basics is an art program designed for young artists who will improve their skills and grow in confidence. They will learn to draw their cartoons and comics from basic shapes and lines. The students will be able to understand cartoons and make artistic drawings based on their ideas, imagination, and observations of the world around them. This program teaches a step-by-step method that will inspire and delight students in developing their artistic and storytelling/writing abilities. Cartooning reinforces teaching in Math and Language Arts and is heterogeneous to meet the needs of states that utilize (S.O.L.s, Common Core, Essential Standards, and more). In addition, it also incorporates S.E.L. and project-based learning.
